How I manifested my weight loss

My top tips for manifesting healthy weight loss The importance of positive body image and how it aids our weight loss. These are tips I used for anyone who has similar goals. Disclaimer: We all have a unique experience, my goals were fat loss so if you have different goals and aren't currently overweight to the extent I was then this blog isn't for you. I would also recommend speaking to your doctor before deciding to lose weight or read this sort of content. This is a trigger warning before anyone reads further as I do speak about my eating disorder and my recovery journey. If your struggling with body dysmorphia, body image or body confidence then please read at your own discretion because this isn't one of my usual light-hearted blogs and could potentially be triggering for sensitive readers or anyone prone to eating disorders/body image issues.  Please don't start any of these tips before consulting your doctor, therapist or dietitian as what helps me might not nece...

25 tips for looking youthful

25 tips for looking youthful Since I've turned 25, I thought I'd list my top tips for looking younger now that I'm halfway to fifty.  I'm going to kick this off with the most important one... Wear sunscreen every single day. I wear factor 50 by La Roche Posay. Sunscreen can feel greasy so I use it as my day moisturiser. If you can take one thing from this list then it's this one. The best possible way to prevent wrinkles is to always remember to wear sunscreen as it's much better than trying to do damage control later. Have a good skincare routine. Start with the basics and Start now and build on it as you get more familiar with it. Go to a good skin care clinic. You want a proper aesthetician or dermatologist to be looking at your skin so they can give you suitable facials that suit your skin type.  My favourite skincare brands are Zo skin health and Image skincare which I get prescribed to me by my own aesthetician. I go to Clinetix in Glasgow. I usually go t...

25 Ways to live your best life

25 ways to live your best life I thought I'd write a list of wisdom I've learned over the past 25 years Create a bucket list and tick everything off it then make an even bigger one and repeat! Honestly no matter how old you have you have no idea how busy and time is borrowed not given so please make one now and start. Make your bed every single morning to start the day with a sense of accomplishment. This little task will encourage you to do many more tasks so don't underestimate the power of a made bed. Don't leave anything until the last minute. If you have something to do get it done straight away. This will make you feel less overwhelmed and leaves you with more time to do more. I don't believe we can fully unwind until we've done everything so please don't trick your mind into finding comfort in procrastination because the anxiety will catch up.   Find your passion. If you hate your job, find one you love and work towards what you really want to do in y...

25 tips on how to carry yourself

Knowing how to carry yourself... It takes a certain finesse so let's go over simple practical ways to carry yourself properly. This is a series I'm doing since I'm turning 25, anyway let's jump right in on some tips for good etiquette and advice which will help you come across well.. Practice good mannerisms and never be rude. Say please and thank you and remain pleasant and well-mannered. Simple but effective. Poor manners always go noticed so if you haven't adopted basic manners yet then you should of really started yesterday but it's never too late to start.  Have good posture so that you come across sure of yourself (even if you're not).  Be punctual, show up and always be on time because lateness can be seen as disinterested and I would even go as far as saying it can be disrespectful. Please appreciate peoples time. "If you're always early, you're never late." Is a rule I live by and it never fails me because I'm rarely late and b...

Owl to early bird

How I went from being a night owl to an early bird I decided to create this blog because I've always suffered from insomnia for as long as I can remember and kind of accepted it like it's part of my DNA so I wasn't convinced there was loads I could do to change this but oh how I was wrong! It's fair to say sorting my sleep is something I'm sadly proud of and now, I honestly believe if I can fix my insomnia, anyone can because up until recently I was that person that just didn't sleep enough. I was the first person other people would contact if they couldn't sleep. I was super approachable at the wrong hours because everyone who knew me would know I would be up.  Now after some changes, I can proudly say I go to bed at around ten every night and wake up at six am every morning and yes I actually get up and do things at that hour so here are my tips if you want to a better sleeping pattern. Wake up early every single morning no matter what. Eventually your sle...

Study Techniques I use

How I study  So I previously created a blog post on how to motivate yourself whilst working from home but this blog post will go into more detail about specifics. My work style might not be for you but I thought I'd share them in case they're helpful for anyone else.  Motivation and studying begin when you show up. Show up for yourself and show up for others. This means be present during lectures whether they are on zoom calls or attending a lecture.  By that I mean give them your full attention, it's not enough to just be there, you have to be engaged so make it a priority to pay attention to everything been said. This makes everything that follows after easier. If you haven't showed up to a zoom call or aren't giving it your full attention then you aren't going to get the full benefits of them. Lectures are there to help us and they're how we learn so when you fail to attend them then the work is going to feel less familiar.  When you don't show up or ...
